Hello,

I am using nextpvr 5 windows version with HDHOMERUN tuner.

Scanning the channels work fine except that there are 2 channels running on the sanme frequency but different SID

For example
Channel 1: req:570000 SID:17
Channel 2: req:570000 SID:16

I cannot do an auto scan of channel 2 as it refuses to detect the SID:16 and will always pick up SID:17 only.

What should i do to use SID:17?

Appreciate your help.

That's normal - digital tv usually carry multiple channels on each frequency, each with a different SID.

Is this on Windows or Linux? If Windows, are you using the device type 'HDHR', or do you have the BDA drivers installed, and using those to scan ATSC/QAM/DVB etc?

If you're using the HDHR device type, in most cases it doesn't actually do the scan itself. Instead it just reads the http://<ipaddress>/lineup.xml to get the list of channels.

So...first step is to let use know more about where you're trying to scan, and probably post the logs immediately after a scan.

I still am having trouble scanning a pair of channels that share the same service id and pid's on different frequencies on Windows that we have discussed previously. If I create separate ini files I can find them both.

I don't remember this, but post the logs and I'll fix it.

I am using windows 10 64bit.

not sure how to go about using the BDA drivers to scan... I simply use this in Settings -> Devices
LocalRecorder (Silicondust HDHomeRun Tuner XXXXX)

where to pull the logs file from?

In the settings screen there is a ‘log files’ button.

From that device name, I think you’re using the BDA drivers.

Are these the two channels you'd expect it to find on that frequency? (CNA and Channel U)

yes that is absolutely correct! CNA and Channel U.

It can only pick up Channel U but not CNA
