I especially like this:

This version seems faster to me but it might be that I've not had time to even pay attention to the last few updates.

Neat idea, but it's broken in Android Chrome. Instead of a window on the right hand side, it lists all the channels in a long list and at the very bottom of the page shows the video player.

Did you try crlf f5 while the video player is playing?

Chrome on Windows is fine. I’ll try to find my old android tablet to see if I can check it.

I need to add some details...

On my Samsung S9 with Android 10 and Chrome 10.0 it gives the long list with the video player at the bottom. In the stock Samsung browser it works, but only displays a single channel in the right hand pull out.

I just checked my old tablet running Android 7 and Chrome 10.0 it only displays the video player, no long list and the channel list on the right hand side does not work/display.

Linux Mint 19 both Chrome and Firefox work correctly.

Windows 10 Chrome & Edge work correctly.

It figures that the phone, which I use 99% of the time, would be the one with the problem.

I tried this out with my Samsung S8 Android 9 with the latest Chrome browser and the channel selector shows up. Here is a screenshot with the channel selector visible.
   

More channels are visible when I hold the phone in portrait mode.

However, I found that to get the channel selector to show up on my phone you have to touch the right side of the screen. Depending on where you touch the screen the channel selector pops up but it also changes the channel. On my phone if I touch below where the channel selector would show up I can get the channel selector to pop up without changing the channel.

I also have a Windows 10 laptop with a touch screen and see the same behavior. When I touch the right side of the screen to get the channel selector to show up it changes the channel like it was already visible. Using the mouse works OK. When hovering over the right side, the channel selector appears without changing the channel.

Samsung pushed out an update for the S9 yesterday and Chrome got an update, The long list of channels disappeared, only the video player is visible. The right had side pop out doesn't show,m but that's much better than the way it was.

It's not supposed to show up unless users moved their mouse to the right side of the player. On a mobile device it may show up if you tap on the right side of the player?

It works for me with a swipe but I did have to hit the refresh swirling button while playing a video to see it the first time. Tapping the area sucks because like with a quick mouse click you will often get a random channel.

I'd really only been thinking mouse users when I implemented this.
