I'm running NPVR 4.2.5 on PC through Windows (although worth noting, I just recently upgraded to Windows 10 and have since started having my problem)

I cannot watch live or record from any cable channels I receive (via Comcast) on my Hauppauge DCR-2650.  Never had a problem in the past when I was on Windows 7.
My Windows 10 upgrade was actually a clean install as I had to format hard drive, so everything is newly installed including NPVR.
I've attached logs of when I tried to access a live channel around 13:20 this afternoon.  A failed recording attempt just before that gave this message when trying to access it:
"No errors, but no data delivered.  This is usually because the device failed to lock a signal."  I've tried everything I can think of, from rebooting the 2650, trying different USB connections between it and the PC,
updating firmware and drivers for the 2650, uninstalling/re-installing NPVR..the 2650 boots up fine, I can view channels off it using the HDHomerun application and even tapping into it via network stream in VLC Player.
i just can't figure it out.  Any thoughts?

My first guess would be something firewall/antivirus related. Even though the Hauppauge DCR-2650 is connected via USB, it acts as a network adapter, and your firewall is probably blocking traffic from device to NextPVR.

Thanks sub...I did try disabling Norton to see (I read that suggestion on another thread) but it didn't make a difference. I'll keep playing around with that aspect of it, I've always wondered b/c that 2650 has an IP address that isn't inside my subnet, my subnet on my LAN is 192.168.0.1:254 but that 2650 takes on 192.168.107.137, never have understood that

Is the Windows Firewall also running?

Nah, I'm pretty sure that's normal.

Yes on Windows Firewall..should I try disabling that? I thought when Windows detected you had a 3rd party like Norton, it sorta went into background and let 3rd party manage.

I don't know how it behaves with Norton.

I typically just use the Windows Firewall, and I can click the Windows button and start typing 'allow an app through the windows firewall', and add exclusions for the executables in the NextPVR directory.

I found another thread on here that discusses the target IP NPVR is going after, and maybe that's my problem:
https://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.ph...light=2650

Is there a way I can change the target IP NPVR is going after within my version 4.2.5? I'm not opposed to trying v5 just not ready to upgrade yet..
Can I do it by editing my .db3 file?

All..I think I've figured this out, thanks to gb2011 (in that prior thread I posted above) and sub..
I changed my network adapter priority settings to prioritize the 2650 and now NPVR is targeting its IP address.
Many thanks!
