Shows that begin before the current time do not display a name in the TV Guide.

In the below ... Channel 14 is missing its show name at 12.00 because the show began at 11.00.

This might be by design because I can scroll left to see the show name.

If you scroll to the left it works fine using Firefox on my UK TV channels.

The EPG on Film 4 is a bit erratic at times.

Sub if you fixed the start hour on the active hour would this help? I don't have any reason to look back in time and if this can be set as a option I would choose it.

Would it work to "split" a show into two shows with the same name if the show begins and ends either side of the left bounday time ?

It does already do that. If you click on the guide page at 5:36pm, it'll default the timeline to starting at 5:00pm. In Grahams screenshot example, it would have needed to have defaulted the timeline to 4pm. Even if I did that though, there would also be longer shows that started earlier that still wouldn't have the name visible.

It defaults the timeline, I was meaning truncating the grid box and have the box start at 12 not at 11 with the text telling the real time.

I don't think that really helps. Same story if the user clicks another day in the guide, like tomorrow - there is always some shows on that started before the currently selected time, and you can't see their description.

Personally I also like to be able to scroll back earlier in the day.

I'd like to see the name of the show that is actually on without scrolling back. Here is NextPVR data in jellyfin and NextPVR web https://imgur.com/a/HbiSA0K

Me too - I just have worked out how to do it yet ?

What happened if you scroll back in jellyfin? Do the labels move? Maybe a video capture if you’ve got time.
