That 90 second setting seems to ensure the EPG is fully populated from the DVB-S2 Freesat source.
A week to the day this has returned. This time the program scheduled for 9pm (Gardener's World) recorded though. This is what I saw at 11:57 pm:
A few minutes later as we crossed the midnight hour: Out of interest this what Emby displayed: I then ran a manual EPG update: Something seems to be going on in the run up to midnight. Logs attached. logs-20200523-1529.zip (Size: 1.35 MB / Downloads: 2)
This is at 17:30 UK time today:
If it helps you can download the tscapture recording here: https://drive.google.com/open?id=19X4JOU...kyLq-ifE4X

There seems to be some listings that have invalid xml characters, causing NextPVR throw away listings.
I would need a tscapture recording to look at it, but with freesat the recording has to be from a channel on 11428Mhz, since that is the only one that carries guide listings.

OK, will get on it. EPG is on channel 999 but tscapture does not find it. Need to figure out how to point it at where I want it to record.
No joy with tscapture as it does not see the 11428/11426 MHz EPG channel 999 or any of the other channels on that frequency:
Seems whatever has changed is becoming more pervasive as NextPVR is now unusable with Freesat. EPG entries are disappearing all over the place and seemingly at random. Should I go back to V4 or will that have the same issue?

Spent a couple of hours looking at various sources of information on the Freesat EPG. It seems they changed their way of broadcasting the data and none of the Freesat services on their home transponder have an video/audio pid now which may explain why tscapture does not find the channel. Freesat Info ch 999 was a MHEG help/information channel that had some background music and in December it was replaced with a scaled back service giving the website address. FreesatInformation has Data pids, which may be the replacement service. More info: http://www.digitalbitrate.com/dtv.php?mu...69&lang=en
None of this has affected Humax STB's so the data must be there but I am wondering whether the data format has changed in some way and NPVR is not handling the revised format? At this point I am getting out of my depth but willing to help in any way I can.

The missing EPG entries occurred again last night. It fails to get data at the same time every week - about 9:00PM every Friday. Data fully re-populates from about 4:00PM on Saturday and selectively for some Channels earlier on.

I'm pretty sure v4 will have the same issue, since v5 is just using the same component from v4 that was responsible for extracting the listings.
Ultimately we'll need to find a way to capture 11428Mhz, so I can look at it here. Try create a c:\temp directory and setting HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Wow6432Node\NPVR\RecordFullTS=1 (DWORD), then do an 'Update EPG'. Hopefully you'll end up with a c:\temp\full-xxxx.ts file. |
