Hi all,
I encountered some issues lately with recordings done on my Windows machine (5.0.7.200726) and watched through my Apple TV app:
1. Some short recordings, like TV episodes are working fine. I can fast forward or rewind with no issues. It works like a charm. However, once I go above 2GB per file (like movies or sports live events), the fast forward does not work anymore. To reach a certain point in the recording, I need to go at normal speed, like watching. Is this a limitation of NextPVR? The very same files, once transferred into Plex Media Server of VLC are working fine.
2. I wanted to record a 4 hrs event. The EPG was ok. However, the actual recording was displaying 22 hrs on Apple TV (and other video apps). I thought that the video file is missing some info or is corrupted, but the recording was playing fine. Because of the 22 hrs display, there was no way to fast forward or pause without the video stopping and crashing. This happens to at least 75% of the files that are longer than 30 minutes.
3. About crashing: if I use the FF from the touch pad on Apple Remote, the videos more than 30 minutes are crashing. I only can pause or start from the little dedicated button.
4. Empty recordings: I have recordings that are displaying 0 MB and the app is telling me that I already watched it. No idea why. This happens every 10 recordings or something like that.
5. And finally and most important for me: once I watch a recording (any recording), I cannot re-watch it. Every time I click to watch it (again, on Apple TV), I only have 2 options: a) Delete it and b) Keep the recording. If I select keep, it returns to the main screen of the recording. Click again, same 2 options. To re-watch it I have to use another app. Is there a limitation on the number of watching sessions in the app?
Thanks for additional info that helps me understand the limitations of TV app
