Hi all,

I've just switched from v4 to v5 and everything is running great except for one small issue. Historically, I've only used the ATSC source for the guide data but with the upgrade I thought it was time to revisit the xml route via EPG Buddy (using TVGuide.com data). My use case is very simple, just one tuner and 8 OTA channels. The XML file EPG Buddy generates adds a local GMT offset (presently -7hrs) to every data entry, so when it gets imported into the NextPVR TV Guide everything is (predictably) off by 7 hours. I can manually find/replace the -0700 entry in the xml file and then of course, everything lines up.

It appears that in Media Portal 2 there is a setting (Plugins/XmlTv) "Apply time compensation when loading tvguide.xml" to account for this. Is there something like this that could be added to NextPVR? Or, am I missing something that functions similarly that's already there? Any help/suggestions are appreciated.

I've attached a log zip if that's of any help.

Thanks!

Could you upload a link to your xmltv file? The logs indicate a big mess.

That is why I asked for a link (to Google Drive, One Drive, Dropbox etc) since the forum has a size limit for attachments.

That xmltv file doesn't match the stations in your log files do you have the one you are using. C:\Program Files (x86)\EPG-Buddy\TVGuide_1.xml That file is potentially a poor choice for a location because you UpdateEpg.bat file may not have permission to update it.

I actually though all Windows users had OneDrive automatically.

Sorry Martin, I've just being futzing around with this a lot for the last couple of days, so I'm not sure is many of the logs show how simple what I'm tying to do is. In any case, here's another file that should correspond better with that log file. https://www48.zippyshare.com/v/uH7D8uYS/file.html NextPVR seems to update fine from that folder, so I don't think that's related.

You know, I've never looked into OneDrive, maybe I do have access, but I generally try to avoid as much MS reliance as possible.

Thanks for your help. (and sorry for seeming like a dope)

Yeah, that's the one I amended to make the times line up. Just a simple find/replace.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding something, but I feel like I was fairly clear in my original post. The xml file that EPG Buddy generates has a -0700 offset for every show entry. When that file is updated in NextPVR the TV Guide is off by 7 hours. If I manually update the xml file, removing the -0700 entries on each show entry, predictably, when updating the Guide again, everything lines up. I'm just looking for a simple way to automate it, perhaps like the option in the way Media Portal handles it. Otherwise everything works fine!

It should have the time zone offset and NextPVR should be accepting it. I was hoping for a file that you said didnt work. It doesn't explain the mess in your current database I suggest rebuilding it by stopping the server, deleting npvr.db3 and restarting the server
