settings not remembered

have installed V4 and now added v5 on my one machine (will removed 4 once 5 is sorted)
recording at same time on both 4 & 5 works well
epg sorted
recording directory set up and remembered

however under settings
when i try to have it open in full screen mode
change main directories for media etc

they don't save!

any ideas

I am assuming you main from NextPVR.exe the web browser won't use this. I can't duplicate the issue on NextPVR, when I tick start fullscreen config.xml is set and the next start matches config.xml

For the default library folders you might have to edit config.xml

finally got time to work on this 
After exhausting alternatives
I ended up removing V4
Reinstalled V5
But still had the same issue with changes NOT saving
So I did the suggestion of editing Config.xml directly and got everything running

I just tried to change a setting via the desktop app
it failed to save on closing
have attached Logs

Which setting specifically are you trying to change?

from the desktop app NOT the web i have tried to setup my media folders-ended up doing them via config.xml
however i was hoping to change the appearance and have the menu across the bottom
right click and change the setting
up pops red writing at the bottom right which i amuse like V4 is "close to save" or similar
reopen the app and the change isn't saved!

Do you mean editing skins? Sub decided to leave them in "Program Files" in v5 so you need to edit as admin.

I just explicitly tried both of these, and the settings are saved correctly for me.

I've added some logging for the next build, around saving when click that 'Save' button in NextPVR.exe's Settings screen, which will hopefully tell us a little more.

ok i have picked up on hit the save button

NO "Save" button or access to one as you can see!

What version of Windows are you running?

Try setting your DPI / textsize to 100%, then reboot, and check if the screen is then scaling correctly.
