Just rebuilt my media PC and installed v5 for the first time (was running v4 previously) and I can't seem to save the settings for the Windows Client, specifically the folders for Videos, Music & Pictures.  I'm wondering it is a permissions issue as the user I run NextPVR under is a regular, non-admin user (for security reasons).  Any ideas?

This was reported yesterday but I tested it and it worked here. Are you saving with NextPVR.exe and the web app at the same time?

No, just using the Client (NextPVR.exe).

Still wondering if it's my permissions - where would I find the config file to check them?

Have you seen the Components page in the wiki?

I am having this same problem.  The "Client Settings" window in the client is chopping off the bottom part of the window, so when I try to make a change to the Decoders, there is no save button displayed.  The window needs a vertical scroll bar.  I am on Windows 10 and using the Firefox browser.  I downloaded the NextPVR software yesterday (October 8, 2020).  I am making good progress.  The software has recognized my TV tuner and found channels, but when I go to "live TV" I get the message that my Audio decoder is not set.  I right click on the client window, choose "Settings" and it brings up the "Client Settings" window and that is the window that is not fully displaying.  I have a screen shot of the cut off window but the drag and drop here isn't working for me.

It's not clear from the sub forumor subject of the thread but this is probably the solution https://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.ph...#pid547133

Yes I saw this thread also but this can't be the correct solution.  I am just using my laptop, nothing else, not displaying on a TV or anything like that.  Plain old vanilla Windows 10 and Firefox browser.  I shouldn't have to fiddle with my laptop's DPI settings just to resize a window.  All my other windows and browsing all over the internet are not being cut off.  They just have not enabled vertical scrolling on this window.  Unless you are talking about some setting in NextPVR itself?  Where do I change that?  BTW, the NextPVR client main window looks great in both windowed and full screen mode, it's just this settings window that is a problem.  Thanks.

Sorry that's the recommended solution for know if you don't like it use a different client like Kodi or edit config.xml manually.

It shouldn’t require this, and it certainly doesn’t on my machine, which is running high DPI with 4K monitors, but we get the occasional user that gets these DPI issues. I’ll take another look when I’m back home tomorrow.

What resolution are you running your desktop at, and what graphics chipset are you using?

Sub, thanks for a better response.  My display adapter is Intel HD Graphics 3000.  Resolution is 1366 x 768.  I couldn't find DPI anywhere.  I was able to find and edit config.xml and I downloaded the LAV decoders.  So NextPVR works for me now but I experience very choppy video and audio.  I am using an inexpensive indoor antenna so that might be the problem, although I get a lot better reception when I hook the same antenna directly to my TV.  My video capture is old too, a Hauppauge WinTV-HVR-950.  So I may be just out of luck trying to make this work with 5+ year old hardware.  Are there any settings that I can try changing that might reduce the chop?  Thanks.
