It may have nothing to do with the upgrade but here is a brief history. Trying to watch todays football games via raspberry pi kodi connected to linux V5 NPVR backend. Raspberry pi was failing to play videos, check linux machine is working correctly yes it is recording game and I can watch on kodi on linux. Reboot both pi and linux but same problem. Upgrade to newest NPVR
Code:
sudo dpkg -i nextpvr-helper.deb
now nothing is recording.

help,

Craig

In the current log /var/opt/nextpvr/scripts/PostStartup.sh is not finishing, look like you have a parameter wrong or perhaps you forgot to stop NextEnd before doing the update. The installer doesn't want for all the NextEnd tasks to stop.

In nrecording.log1 there is another issue since it isn't doing anything with failed recording sub would need to look at that.

I'd stop the service wait, NextEnd tasks should timeout and if not sudo taskill them and rerun the installer to be sure.

With NextEnd especially on sports days it is best to stop the service manually rather then letting the installer do it.

Thanks Martin,

PostStartup.sh was
Code:
#!/bin/bash
/opt/dotnet/dotnet /var/opt/nextpvr/Plugins/NextEnd/NextEnd.dll --monitor
I made it non-executable

After stopping nextpvr-server and killing the nextend process I repeated the update and all appears to be working well.

Thanks again,

Craig
