cannot setup xml plugin

i've been trying to setup gbpvr now for a while with different versions and was never able to do it. i always get an error on setting up the xmltv plugin.

i get the following error when i try to update the epg: Failure in ChannelFactory:toreChannels(): Fehlt

the other "error" i get is when i open the "recording status" window, it gets collapsed and has only the size of the window header bar

why do i have to use epg at all? i only want to watch tv, so is it possible to setup the tv (hauppauge pvr 350) without epg?

Pretty much everything in GB-PVR is built around the EPG, so without this information GB-PVR give you bugger all. That said, your error message doesnt appear to be directly related to the EPG, but rather an error relating to the data access components on you machine. You could try reinstalling the .net runtime, or possibly the Microsoft Data Access Components (MDAC 2.8) - hopefully one of these will correct the issue.
