Username and password?

I've seen this discussed already and I'm sorry to have to ask again, but the reply answers post links that are dead. Trying to get v5 going with an HDHomerun 3 tuner device. It  opens up default browser asking for a username and password.

What username and password? Why is this such a secret(or seems to me)?

Any help would be appreciated. A pointing to a hand holding thread to get started for the first time for Windows 7 users. SiliconDust tuner user. I can't believe how hard it is anymore to find basic info. It never used to be this way.... as in finding simple info. That's on multiple things.

Anyway. help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the answer. Guess I should have taken a shot but I had no idea what I needed a username and password for. No explanation as to what is being referenced(what account?) Things make more sense now to some extent. I couldn't get the desktop client to see my HDHome run and bring in channels. With this new web browser thing... I quickly found how to get it to work. Now I can at least start to make some progress.

You were likely clicking on the multi-quote button, which requires extra steps. Just use the single quote button, and it'll go straight to reply window with the message quoted.

Hi Sub,

With the demise of the NPVR Emby Plugin/Client, I am trying to set up remote access. But NPVR will not allow me to set this up without changing the existing username/password and that's fine but using "password" as the default password does not work. I keep getting a "Failed to update password. Confirm you've entered you existing password correctly." msg...

Any ideas?

EDIT: windows version 5.0.9 (201026)

EDIT@: Never mind, I am obviously having a blonde moment, just discovered that I had already changed the default password DUH!
