Hi all,

just installed, working great - a fine add in.

but getting the final tweaks, i would like to be able to set a different recording dir for each channel group.
eg Sports to /recordings/sports News to /recordings/news etc.

However when i change 1 in the GUI, it changes for all. I added an extraline in the config.xml as i saw a post on the Windows side - but wondered how to map this extra dir to the group concerned?

<RecordingDirectory>/recordings/entertainment/</RecordingDirectory>
<ExtraRecordingDirectories>/recordings/sport</ExtraRecordingDirectories>

thx for any help

You would create multiple extra directories as a list like this https://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.ph...#pid548003.

You test it be checking the dropdown when you create a recording.

so something like the below in the config.xml - ive tested this and the drop down in the GIU behaves just the same

where the first part is the channel group and the second the mapped path
eg News = channel group
/recordings/news = mapped path

<RecordingDirectory>/recordings/</RecordingDirectory>
<ExtraRecordingDirectories>TVShows~/recordings/tv~News~/recordings/news</ExtraRecordingDirectories>

tried this and the recordings from those channel groups still just go into the the top directory /recordings. so a little lost

There is nothing automatic for groups. You still need to select it when you schedule the recording.

Thanks, that works now.

For anyone not aware, you can select the directory to place the recording in from Advanced when you schedule the recording as mvallevand says,
