Today I noticed that when watching an in-progress recording (via Kodi, if that's relevant) it doesn't remember my resume position if I'm "too close" to live. Is this the expected behavior?

My situation was that I was watching an NFL game that was being recorded, and I was basically caught up to live. I stopped playback to run some errands. When I tried to resume later, there was no resume option - it just started over from the beginning. I don't have any logs from this session, but can attempt to reproduce later if that's something you'd like to see.

thx

There are changes in Matrix to how the addon responds to the Kodi end of file conditions. I haven't tested this specific use case so feel free to try and provide logs if there are still problem.

The "Too close" region is defined in advancedsettings.xml should you want to change it.

Note that Kodi posts should be in the Kodi sub forum.

I'm running Leia, as it's the currently recommended stable release. Is Matrix in a state where it will "just work"?

I'll take a look, thanks!

Sorry! I did not even realize that was a thing.

I've been running Matrix for year and now I feel for PVR it is stable and better than Leia. My client of choice CoreElec is running really well.

They did do a PVR bump a couple of days ago and most platforms are OK, so you will need the nightly not Beta 2.

I created an advancedsettings.xml file with the following content and it seems to do what I want.
Code:
<advancedsettings>
  <video>
    <ignorepercentatend>0</ignorepercentatend>
  </video>
</advancedsettings>

Thanks for the pointer.

BTW, for anyone else looking at this, documentation for advancedsettings.xml can be found here: https://kodi.wiki/view/Advancedsettings.xml
