NPVR v3 -V4 with Windows XP  5 DTV tuners
1 tuner per OTA network  ( if there was any reception problems could isolate to which tuner )
EPG would update from all tuners and on live tv so late EPG changes would appear in Guide

When PC died, upgraded to Windows 10 & NPVR v5.
Setup Tuners ( 1 Tuner per Network)
PROBLEM     EPG is available from 1 tuner only, so selected
Tuner1 - 7 Network
Tuner2 - 9 Network
Tuner3 - 10 Network
Tuner4 - SBS Network
Tuner5 - ALL Networks (EPG update)
This was OK for 2 days until somehow EPG update used Tuner1 and only had those channels in the Guide.
Had to Rescan Tuner 5 to find new channels the update EPG
Reboot PC for changes to take effect

Question  Is it possible for EPG update to scan all tuners, or use a file containing details of which tuners and frequencies to use ?

Regards

NextPVR v3/v4 was also had EPG source tied to the specific tuner that was used create that channel during the initial scan. NextPVR v5 is the same. There was a few reasons I implemented it this way (sometimes people have tuner with better reception etc). I put the default EPG update to occur at like 3am, when very few people are recordings.

Possibly my installation procedure was incorrect. I scanned tuner 1 with all networks, then copied results to all tuners.
I then deleted the unwanted channels from each tuner, leaving 1 network per tuner. Then I did EPG update, but it would only update from last tuner, and only that network. I then rescanned last tuner with all networks and EPG updated guide with all channels, status showed only last tuner used for EPG update.
When watching live TV last tuner is used but on record it would use the tuner that had that network.
However Good News.
I deleted all channels from tuner devices, rescanned tuner, selected relevant network ,updated EPG. Then same for the next tuner etc etc.
Now when I updated EPG, status showed each tuner toggled.
This also detected a problem with a RTL2832U tuner and Windows 10 (a bit iffy)

Questions - Is there a way of restarting server without rebooting ? and the feature of importing / exporting devices channels. (in v4 I would save the channel groups ) I cannot find that option in v5

You can go into Services in Windows, and restart it from there.

There isn't an export/import channels feature at this stage.

Only Partial EPG update overnight (11/02/21)
Ran manual update , guide updated Ok except for 1 tuner (1 Network).EPG update didn't toggle to that tuner.(status)
I then went into channels and watched live on that network & OK ( Tuner OK )
I then went into devices , removed 1 channel from that tuner, then rescanned that tuner.
Ticked the channel and saved. Then EPG updated OK and toggled thru all tuners.

Not sure why this problem happened but did notice that there was win10 update pending on reboot.

That tuner wasn't used for one week. Are you sure it is configured correctly?

The AF9015 BDA Filter (#0) has 10 channels (9 Network) and is definitely in use

Just a thought
could it be that tuner AF9015 ( 9Network) somehow missed the EPG update " list " after the 3/01/21 therefore leaving the old data in the guide ( a weeks worth ) it was then still usable to record or watch live. That is why it took a week before I noticed that EPG update failure for that tuner
I now check guide if still populated for a week
