More EPG Data Issues

Hi all,

I know that this issue seems to pop up every now and again and it has for me too, but previously I was able to resolve it, until now.

For whatever reason I am unable to get a full EPG update, with gaps in the schedule. The Windows 10 setup I am running has a dual Hauppauge DVB-T2 and a TBS DVB-S2 dual access from a Kodi client running on a Chromecast with Google TV. This has performed pretty well for me to date but over the past 5 days I have been unable to get the EPG to update fully despite multiple attempts and having clicked Empty EPG, rescanned the DVB-S channels, rebooted the PC and restarted the Next PVR Windows service.

I also checked the integrity of the database and all was well.

I have attached my logs after attempting yet another EPG Update.

Any help would be appreciated at this stage as I have simply run out of ideas.

It did look like it was getting listings for the channels that show no listings in your above screenshot

Is it gaps, or no listings? ie, if you scroll to later in the day, or switch to another day, do you see listings?

It is both, if I move forward to Sunday, the channels mentioned (BBC One NI) are still empty and other that have some listings have gaps.

You could maybe try increasing the <EPGScanSeconds> setting in config.xml

I did try that already, to 90 seconds, but no joy.

Is it always certain channels missing listings?

I might need you to use the evaluation version of TSCapture (https://tscapture.com) to capture a 1 minute full transport stream, and put it somewhere like onedrive/dropbox/etc, and let me know the download link. With this I'll be able to try pulling in the EPG here.

I bit the bullet on this one and simply deleted the devices and started again, re-scanning the channels and reordering channels and deleting channels and etc., etc.

Anyway, that fixed it! A nuclear option, no doubt, but one that worked!
