I've just upgraded from V4.2.4 to V5 5.2.0.  I tried to carry over the Config.xml and the .db3 but I had issues logging on to the server.  In the end I started with a clean install and built the profile up from scratch.
Everything seems to be working as expected - the Web-Client works fine, but I have found a consistent problem with the native client.

When I do a search, I enter a search term and it finds the programs that match.  When I click on a Program to bring up the details - Bang! Unhandled Exception, Red X lines across a white window, Clicking Continue makes the window title change to "Not Responding" which will go for a while until I get the Close Program / Wait for Response prompt.
I've done it a few times repeatedly.  if I don't enter a search term and just use the alphabet, I can sometimes get it to work as expected, but it also leads to crashes.

Not sure what other information is needed to diagnose the problem.  I think the Log file has something in it that might be a clue.
5.2.0.210912 5.2.0 but

Another user posted the same issue https://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.ph...#pid560486 You can use the web search until sub looks into it.

Can you let me know if this updated dll fixes it for you? You'll need to replace it in the main NextPVR directory, and the client directory.

Hello - Yes the Search function seems to work fine now - Thank you.
I did have one unhandled exception (Object Reference not set) when I returned to the Search function after ESCaping from Search back to the Main menu. The Client didn't crash and kept working as normal. I have not been able to repeat the problem since.

You might have this logged in the Windows event viewer.

I had a crash this morning during a search so installed the updated NextPVRUI.dll.  A couple of searches were fine then it crashed again.

Log files attached and I would appreciate any help/suggestions.  Thanks.

Stanno

This dll is in two directories. Did you update both? (you needed to)

Oops, my apologies, sorry, didn't notice that.  All now seems fine.  Many thanks.
