Having issues whereby the web app playback of recordings does not seek to where I select, saying that it does go to the point I click but then the seek bar goes to the start of the timeline instead of the correct point in the timeline, for example the centre if you selected mid way.
Also there seems to be no resume option after exiting playback to where the video was last.

Do you use one of the recording auto transcode options to prepare recordings for web playback? That is recommended for watch recordings since transcoding on the fly is CPU intensive.

No I don't. Just use default streaming profile and cpu for video encodering Profile

The reason for the auto transcoding is primarily to make the web recording playback experience better. I recommend you use it or a direct play client if you plan on a lot of seeking, especially with CPU based transcoding. For in-progress recordings you definitely need a direct play client that supports them.

Sub will need to answer about specifics of your problem.

Yeah if i use plex or jellyfin it does skip alright, but I prefer to use the nextpvr web app if possible because it loads faster and i like the interface layout and speed of use when out and about.
So would be nice if seeking and also resume worked like plex and others.
I can try the auto transcoding though, thanks for suggesting.

You will find the transcoding to mp4 option the best universal choice for playback.

Yeah that works, however I can't run a postprocessing script after recording with this method because it only auto transcodes when there is no postprocessing.bat file present.
I notice that the auto transcode process uses ffmpeg as I seen it running in the task manager.
Do you happen to know the command line that would be used to convert to mp4 1080p using ffmpeg so it can be played and seeked with nextpvr?
