NLite/comskip

NLite seems to be ignoring the comskip locations. They show on the progress bar, but I have to manually skip thru them. I'm running the 1/29 build of NLite.
I've noticed this on 2 longer recordings I just watched. One was on a client machine, the other on the server.
I've setup a short recording and will post it with the logs once I've retested it in case you need more details.

Edit. I did skip up to just before the commercial block, then let it play. Did the same with NextPV, and it skips the commercial block ok.

You appear to be using comskip on a growing file. Does it work better when it finished?

The recording I sent sub was one I tested after the recording was finished.

Ok I just was trying to see if this problem was linked to the problem with growing files https://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.ph...#pid568484 The log showed comskip was not the issue.

I tried your sample file in NLite, and it was skipping correctly at the comskip markers.

Are you sure you didn't test it while it was still recording?

I'm quite sure, but I'll run another test. I've already deleted that recording.

It would help a lot of you tell us the name of the file with the problem. It does look like one of your files suffers for the 0 second comskip bug in NextPVR.

Unfortunately this is a long time problem and NextPVR doesn't send the typical recording information on start for these when resuming so clients have to use the /stream protocol and there is trouble with comskip on this protocol too.

Ok. That is the file I last tested/sent to sub.

Just tested another recording. NLite ignores the comskip markers, NextPVR skips them with the same recording. This is on the same machine.

I am running NextPVR without the NPVRCCExtractor.ax file if that matters.

I'll test again with another upcoming recording.
