Initial Install - Donation Activation

Hi,

I'm just getting started with NextPVR having moved from a Windows server to a Linux server.

I'm running NextPVR in a Docker container on Ubuntu Server 22.04 with a dual TBS DVB-S2 card.

All is working well and I'm configuring NextPVR to work with my Emby Server.

My problem is, having made a Paypal Donation I can't get the donation/activation registered in the NextPVR settings.

I choose the option for : Have You Donated?>Enter Paypal Transaction> Register Donation but the registration doesn't show. I've checked I'm entering the correct PayPal transaction code but for some reason it doesn't show the status as 'activated'. With activation I'm unable to complete setup with Emby.

I suspect I'm missing something obvious. Would welcome advice on how to fix this. Many thanks.

Sub reported elsewhere that sometimes the PayPal Transaction ID he received (and hence what NextPVR is attempting to match to) isn't always the same as the PayPal Transaction ID that the donor receives. Therefore, he also included the ability to lookup/match via email address in addition to PayPal Transaction ID.

My donation is already registered, so I don't see the "Have You Donated?" part of the web page and can't give you exact steps. But, do you see an option there to confirm via email address rather than PayPal Transaction ID? If so, give that a try.

Yep, try entering the email address in the place of the transaction ID. If that doesn't work for you, send me a PM with your email address and I'll take a look for you.

Made a small donation and the transaction id failed to register but the email address succeeded. It then informed me that some features are now unlocked. Is there a list of these bonus features somewhere in case some are of interest to me?

I donated a couple of utilities to help support sub (UI Clients for Android and Roku) They work without donating but you have to uninstall them at the end of a trial period and reinstall them to continue.

The Emby 4.7 client also requires a donation. This makes sense because Emby is a commercial product and they decided to not develop their own tuners and use other apps for that.
