I have the latest version installed on a clean build win11 pro machine with LAC Filters installed and set as the only decoder for nextpvr to use.     I don't use transcoding as appletv plays mpeg-ts. When ever I playback a recorded program regardless of the channel it always plays aroubd 5-10 mins then stops skips backwards about 2 mins then starts playing again with the repeating of the skip happening again and again.     When watching live tv I don't get this problem the general pkayback seems fine with an occasional drop of the signal which I expect with IPTV STREAMS.

I have seen a few posts here about the same issue but not seen any resolutions to solve it.  Does anyone have any ideas as this basically makes watching recordings frustrating.

Other solutions like plex with xteve are not options. Have tried them and they all seem to have issues with streaming live tv in multiple ways.  Nextpvr works in that respect and I like supporting platforms that are not commercial.

My other issue is with record time.  Because of playback issues I have copied ts files to a separate folder and then used a converter that does rapid mp4 conversions to playback through infuse.  When I add some ts files the durations show as 24hrs or hrs or some weird time inconsistent with the actual duration.  I use schedules direct for epg.  Any ideas on why this is happening? How I can fix?

Can send logs next time issue with playback happens. Record is more difficult unless I try to convert after every record occurs but will try to upload these to.

Any suggestions in the meantime appreciated.

NextPVR just saves streams as they are received. From your conversion issue it certainly seems you have a provider issue. I wouldn't bother sending logs you'd need to seen a link to a recording that we can check for errors.

In general the only things that are suggested when data from the provider is suspect is to swap the input format between m3u8/ts if you have a option.

Unfortunately not with the provider I am with, they have been the most stable out of various ones I have tried and the only one that gives you 5 streams included. it maybe provider as both issues happen regardless on if I am on VPN or not, being in Australia does make it more problematic due to unstable international links, but I assumed using a VPN would bypass all the least cost routing that most ISPs here utilise. Its also weird as I am on a 1Gbps Fibre to Premise connection that averages around 550MBps through speedtest so I wouldn’t think it was a bandwidth issue either.

I will raise a support ticket with them and see what sort of response I get but to be honest their support isnt great……

I have a few TS files now I can upload one to google drive or one drive if you want to take a look?

I got the PM and the ts stream doesn't have sync errors but there are regular lost packets so it seems the source encoder is not working and the ts timetamps are bad

It definitely is not seekable as is but I remuxed to mkv without issue to fix some. You would need to transcode to clean it up fully but I don't know if that is necessary if you just used the mkv file in NextPVR instead of the ts file. That being said there is definitely repetition in the file itself that cannot be explained for a one hour recording.

Yeah I have noticed duplicate packets and out of order packets using wireshark to monitor, that is with VPN off and on so not sure whats happening. Im thinking its a TS issue personally as im sure i read somewhere that TS was never designed to be used to stream tv over a huge unstable network (Internet) hence the development of MPEG-DASH and HLS but unless you go for expensive you wont get those protocols. I found an IPTV Service that does use HLS so signed up for three day trial and will see how it performs. And feed that back as well.

How do I use MKV? I only get a ts output at the moment, i have transcoding off as im still trying to work out how to configure my AMD RX6600 graphics card so that nextpvr will use it for transcoding instead of CPU
