I have an installation running on a Raspberry Pi 3 with SSD and all works perfectly well with Kodi clients with one exception (finally).

Recordings *sometimes* come out in multiple overlapping video files.  I can record the same network lets say 6 TV shows in one day and normally one to two of these recordings will be in three or more overlapping files. Please note these are overlapping files , yes ALL overlap, so it is not like the stream stopped.

Thanks

PS; so much for making the file smaller so it fits and deleting the original. Still does not fit and now stuck with two of them

The only situation it creates multiple files is if the NextPVR service is restarted while recording.

You'd probably need to post the logs covering to the recording time for us to be able to tell for sure.

Actually, I believe I figured out a different reason why this is happening at least *most of the time*. The proof is in the video. I am using a script called "frndlytv for channels" and using a modified output of the playlist file to get those channels into nextPVR

The problem occurs mostly on a channel "Heros and Icons" from FrndlyTV.

After stitching some of these back together while converting to mp4 format, I can see that there is a glitch in the video at the point usually just before the new file begins to start recording (call this new recording the "second half")  . The first recording ("first half") usually continues on past that point, so there is most always an amount of overlap. In one case there was nothing visible in the video and the two butted together perfectly when put into AVIDemux with no overlap though.

It is not always on heroes and Icons in one case my weekly recording of "The Orville" from SBS Viceland Australia stream came out in three pieces and I can see no apparent reason for that and never before have I had it happen on that stream.
