Using the latest version on Win10 for Freeview (DVD-T in UK). Did a rescan of channels and it trashed all the channel numbers, so when BBC1 was 1, BBC was 2, etc, now they were all over the place. A bit like it used random channels that hadn't previously been in use (so the lowest channel was 8). Worked flawlessly for years, including a few times with the current software version.

Any ideas how to fix it?

I did see a post about increasing ScanDropTime, then found two config.xml files for NPVR. Only C:\Users\Public\NPVR-data\config.xml had ScanDropTime (C:\Users\Public\NPVR\config.xml didn't) so I increased it from 3000 to 4000.

I could renumber all 141 manually I guess, but seems a huge amount of work? I could replace the contents of a NPVR directory with a fairly recent backup, if anyone can recommend which directory?

Can anyone help?

If so thanks in advance!

On Windows npvr.db3, which contains the channels and their numbers, is in c:\users\public\npvr-data

Thanks, that's great - I've replaced that from a 10-day old backup and it's good, although it would be nice if it didn't screw up next time I do a channel scan, I don't suppose anyone knows what went wrong or how to avoid that?

I'm not sure why it would have screwed up the channel numbers. It shouldn't have.

Thanks, is there a good db3 viewer out there (I still have the iffy database)?

Also, since I'm here, I presume having two tray icons is normal, "Next PVR" and "NPVR Device Status", I've always assumed it was, although one might have done both jobs, but wondered if I had something odd going on?
