Yes, I only use NextPVR for IPTV recordings.

Yes, I only use NextPVR for IPTV recordings.

I only need NextPVR for recording as my IPTV provider offer both firstick app and web player.  If I could add IPTV service to my plex media server, then I wouldn't have any need for NextPVR server.

Although it seems clear that you don't really want to use NextPVR you didn't really answer my question. Are you using their other apps or other apps to access your provider not just recording.

Hi,

I misunderstood your question, and obviously, you also misunderstood my response.  To answer your question, yes, I use my IPTV provider's app for my IPTV service given that their app is designed specifically for their service.  I need NextPVR, so I set up a Linux server, paid for a domain name for the NextPVR server services.  However, I had already purchased plex server services before I found NextPVR.  So, if plex had provided everything I needed I needed including IPTV integration, I would not have needed NextPVR. We're here now, I would appreciate any help you can provide to resolve this issue.  Previously, all recordings were fine, until I updated NextPVR to the latest version.  I've been using NextPVR for over two years now.

The reason I asked the question, is that your provider may be limiting how many connections you have which might be stopping the download. Try the download when you are sure you aren't watching with other apps.

The way that NextPVR downloads the file is to use ffmpeg and since that is just stopping there is very little sub can do to change this behavior. I think this is because NextPVR forces transcode 5:1 audio to stereo for maximum browser portability. A raw download would in some ways be better.

If it is not a connection issue perhaps updating ffmpeg on Linux to version 5 or 6 might help.

Thank you for the update.  I checked my Linux server and I currently have version 4.4.2 on Ubuntu 22.04.2 LTS server.  Unfortunately, my stem is reporting that this is the latest stable version available.  I'll continue to seek other ways to resolve this issue.

Thank You!

That is the last version available via the ubuntu's repo but you can still install newer versions that are equally "stable"

Personally I suspect the problem is connections.

As additional steps, I uninstalled and purged FFMPEG from my system, which removed ffmpeg helper for NextPVR.  I reinstalled FFMPEG and reinstalled NextPVR, which resulted to a fresh install of NextPVR.  Now my VOD playlist doesn't load as it used to.  I'll up a private file of my IPTV movies playlist as it contains my account information for your review.

Unless you purged nextpvr-helper, /var/opt/nextpvr would have stayed the same. I can't imagine how re-installing would change this particular issue.
