Playback is locking up MS Edge

I tried playback of a 20GB+ file using the web app in Microsoft Edge. No messages but the app and browser were unresponsive and I had to use Task Manager. Playback of same file works OK using Firefox.

I've attached a log using each browser.

I hope you can find the reason.

If you temporarily rename the "NASCAR Cup Series_20230625_19002300.thumbnails" file to something else, so that it's not found, does playback of this file then work?

How big is that .thumbnails file?

What is you CPU usage? In general I wouldn't recommend direct CPU playback of HD mpeg2video recordings since you are doing heavy transcoding and you'd be better off using the built in post processing to web browser compatible format if this is something you do regularly.

Yep. Changing the thumbnails filename allowed playback to start almost instantly.

I've added a fix for this higher than necessary CPU usage in the next build.

I hadn't tried a recording this long, and it sounds like maybe the number of thumbnails is causing a problem.

Can you maybe put that .thumbnails file on somewhere like onedrive/googledrive, and let me know the download link? I'll try it here, and put in some logic so that it's handled better in the web app.
