I have a Hauppage Dual Tuner module. It works fine as long as there is only 1 movie recording. Yesterday I recorded 2 movies at the same time, and the 2nd movie is dead blank, like the 2nd tuner is not turned on. (the movie created 1 minute earlier is fine). What did I do wrong?

Logs and pic attached.

The signal probably didn't lock

2023-09-01 18:57:02.116 [DEBUG][4] locked=0, present=0, strength=57, quality=0 (took 32ms to check)

but it is not zero bytes (1696117200) so it is not flagged as as error.

I didn't see you try to play it though, what client is this?

I found out the problem was the TV station, sorry for the false alarm. I've never had an issue with a TV station like this, which is why the thought to check it didn't occur to me. If the station had been back to broadcasting a program again today, it would have been very puzzling. It seems like the station is there, because it's not white noise. It's just not broadcasting any program. Strange problem.

If it is working OTA, you might need a rescan.

I googled the issue for about an hour and found nothing about any changes. Do they really change the freq. of the channels without any notice?

I'm not used to no signal getting so much data. You'd have to connect your antenna to a TV to know for sure

My TV set is connected to the same antenna and it has the same result. I suspect the carrier signal is present, but there is no programming for whatever reason. The TV shows a good signal, but the screen is black. For a station to be in that condition for so long, without any communication anywhere (even on the channel website), it makes me wonder if anyone even knows the status of it (except for regular viewers). Usually when a station has changed freq, they broadcast a message on the old freq for some period.

If a station is going to change what channel they broadcast on they usually put a message on top of the video, kind of link a ticker tape or a storm warning at the bottom or top of the screen. They may also have commercials. I don't know of any other notification method unless you sign up for some kind of notification through email or snail mail, if such a service exists.

I have a Hauppage internal quad tuner, when I adjust my antennas I use the Hauppage Digital Signal Monitor, I don't know if it will be of help to you, just thought I mention it in case it would be.

It can be downloaded at the link below
