Check dmesg and journalctl for other errors.

Make sure when you scan you select the antenna type and country/city you live in, not sure why you choose DVB-T in Andorra.

Refresh installed Ubuntu and just copied the firmware to the box.
The devices were detected ok and all 3 devices are showed up in the NextPVR.
I can scan the channels but maybe the Linux channel db for NZ not updated - no channels were found. (the frequencies not matched in my area. Windows NextPVR channel db is fine but Linux one not). BTW, question: can we copy the channel database from Windows version to Linux version?

It was looks good at first. But after I run update/upgrade:
sudo apt update
sudo apt upgrade
It 'corrupted' the HVR4000 drivers and all the errors came back.

Now I give up the Linux/NextPVR and back to Windows 11/NextPVR version which is stable.

Thanks Martin for your help.

Cheers

Too bad, but I think using Windows is a good decision. My gut says you probably didn't need to rebuild the Hauppauge media device tree, most things are in the kernel and you just need to find the firmware.

If you ever want to play with Linux again, I recommend trying LibreELEC for x64, generally with common tuners the firmware is preinstalled and install of the server is integrated and as a bonus you get a better version of Kodi which is needed as a direct play client on Linux.

Actually, very good chance it is incorrect frequencies for your area. You might need to edit the files in /usr/share/dvb/dvb-t/. I had to edit the frequencies for Wellington.

No, but relatively easy to edit those files I mentioned.

Ok, fair enough. Tuners and drivers/firmware etc is definitely harder Linux.
