No file/program position shown on MVP

Since re-installing my PC I don't seem to get the file/programme position indicator at the top of the screen when watching through the MVP. I used to get it whenever starting playback, pausing, skipping etc. It even showed the adverts when I used comskip.

Have installed gbpvr 9112b and MVP mediamvpsetup_2_0_22020.exe.

I've just had a look and it's disappeared when playing back thro gbpvr on the PC. I know this was working last night before I installed Norton Internet Security, Nero, etc.

Any ideas ?

i think there's a checkbox to enable/disable the OSD in the config app. Have you seen that?

Does it appear when you press the blue button?

Don't think there is a enable/disable OSD in config - there is a minimal OSD during playback which I haven't selected.

I have changed playback codecs from system default to Intervideo Video and Audio codecs -

Results on PC playback are:

Intervideo NonCSS Video and audio Decoder
LiveTV - 'Error: Object refrence not set to aninstance of an object'
Recordings - Windows error for gbpvr.exe

Intervideo Audio and video codecs:
LiveTV - no picture, sound for a few seconds, then nothing
Recordings - picture freezes after approx. 2 sec - guess this is when restart/resume message should be displayed on screen, but never appears.

Cyberlink Video/SP decoder + cyberlink audio decoder
LiveTV - 'Error: Object refrence not set to aninstance of an object'
Recordings - GET OSD, but low resolution. Plays OK, but skip doesn't work on files with comskip - works otherwise

Get OSD on PC with these settings, but nothing with any of the combinations on the MVP. MVP locks up most of the time when starting recordings - guess this is when restart/resume message should be displayed on screen, but never appears. Have to power off MVP

Should the BDA Multiplexer setting affect any of this ? - doesn't seem to.

Should I disable both MVPMedia and Mediasvc on pc startup with msconfig ?

Just done another test on MVP with recorded file which has been processed with comskip. When first playing file it stops after 2 secs. This is when resume/restart shoul be shown on screen - nothing shown, but I can use remote keys to resume or restart - s obuttons are there but not displayed. Using skip and play to try and skip to next advert break doesn't work though?

Now convinced problem is due to installed video/audio codecs. Don't know how to fix though.

Must have installed an old version of the mvp s/w by mistake when re-installing - installed a more recent version and get OSD on screen when playback thro MVP.
