Hi all,
I was having video issues (picture break up) so decided to acquire a new HTPC (Beelink EQ13).  I set up NPVR using my USB backup drive as a D: drive and everything was fine.  I then transferred my 2TB NVME data drive with all my recordings from the old PC to the new one where it appeared without issues as D:.
However, now, when I play the recordings, the video is slightly choppy and the audio is out of sync, although it does seem to catch up eventually.  The audio on live TV is fine.  I have just made a couple of test recordings and the audio on those seems fine, so it's just the old recordings (I have tried several, all the same issue).
I am using the NPVR windows client and a Hauppauge USB tuner.  I have 32-bit LAV foilters installed and all decoders set to LAV.  Logs attached.
Any thought/comments would be welcome.  Thanks.
Stanno

Edit : PS - the new recordings are Homes Under The Hammer and Come Dine With Me The Professionals, others are previous ones.

Since you were having video breakup on the old system with the old recording too, maybe it is not NextPVR. If you have time maybe install yauiclient2 https://github.com/emveepee/Testing/wiki/yauiclient and see if the same problems exist. It doesn't use LAV or decoders and during playback you can hit the p key to get information and see if frames are being dropped etc.

Thanks Martin, I will give that a try. It may be worth noting that the video issues on the old machine were different, the bottom left quarter of the picture was tearing whereas with the new machine the whole picture stutters slightly.

I tried the alternative client and had the same problem. I also removed the SSD and plugged my USB drive in with the same results. Not sure what changed between yesterday and today, been wracking my brain to think what else I did that might have caused the problem but can't come up with anything.

When you hit the p key did you see any frame drops?

Hi Martin,
Yes, after 30 seconds of playback it showed decoder (0) and output (several hundred).

Can you do a screen capture while it is running? Then n200 is not a great video player but it certainly should do old SD broadcasts.

Hi,
Here's a screenshot.
I have played around a bit more and :
(1) Removed the SSD, uninstalled and re-installed LAV, re-attached the USB and files played OK.
(2) Replaced the SSD, the issue re-surfaced.
(3) Removed the SSD, re-attached the USB and they then didn't play properly.
Seems to be something to do with the SSD but I don't know what.

Sounds like you found the issue but to go from 50fps to your display's 30 hz I it has to drop frames.

But what I can't get my head round is why it's only the NPVR client that has the problem. The same files are fine in WMP and I have just installed VLC and they are fine in that too.
