deleting channels

Longtime reader, first time poster...

I'm Running Debian 12 server with NextPVR v7.0.0.241105.

My setup is with an IPTV provider in which I download the M3U and guide from them and store them in the /home/nextpvr folder. 
The EPG downloads 4 times a day and that process works great.

My M3U I would like to update once a week, mainly to update the channels for NFL games.

I've tried running this command in every way possible. With and without sudo, with one or both source_id and channel_id, or neither. I've tried specifiying a single channel_id.
In all case, none of the channels are removed.

/opt/dotnet/dotnet /opt/nextpvr/system/NScriptHelper.dll -pin:1234 -server:127.0.0.1:8866 -service:method=setting.channel.delete&source_id=26&channel_id=0

I do see the delete command in the logs, but there are no other errors or any indication that any deletes have taken place.

Removing 1 or all channels through the web interface works as expected.

Looking for any advice you may have.

How do you figure out the correct channel_id, it won't be a display number?

I ran a query on the channel table - select * from channel; That was the last channel returned by the query, so it was the easiest to go after.

I've tried 13996 and 1949.

I found another thread here, I believe sub had replied indicating channel_id=0 would remove all channels, which is really what I've spent the most time trying to do.

That thread is a windows thread, but hoping the same thing can be accomplished in Linux.

I've also looked at this thread, which is exactly what I'd like to do, but the delete isn't cooperating.

My point was mainly how will your script know the channel OID's to delete?

Are you using the source_id for the capture_source oid?

The source_id comes from http://localhost:8866/services/service?m...ormat=json.

I have 2 listed. 26 and 30. The 26 ID has 975 channels. The 30 ID has 0 channels. If I delete that one out of devices it always comes back.

You might need <PinLoginAllowSettings>true</PinLoginAllowSettings> in config.xml

Might also need to quote the "-service:method=setting.channel.delete&source_id=26&channel_id=0" part of the command line, otherwise the embedded ampersands might cause problem for your shell.

The quotes did the trick. All Channels successfully deleted from the source_id!
