I'm running LibreELEC 10.0.0 on my Raspberry Pi 4s and facing two specific issues with Kodi Matrix that I don't encounter on my Windows 10 laptop.
The first issue is the delay in switching channels. Compared to Kodi Krypton, it now takes twice as long to change channels. Previously, it took less than 5 seconds, but now with Matrix, it takes at least 10 seconds.
The second issue involves timeshifting when watching 720p video. Whether it's live TV or a recording, the timeshift calculation often resets to the beginning of the program and stalls. For instance, this morning while watching GMA (720p), which was 15 minutes behind real-time (I intentionally watch delayed to skip commercials), I tried to rewind by a minute at the 47-minute mark, but nothing happened. Instead, the time indicator jumped back to the start of the program, and while it appeared to be moving forward, no video played.
Another example was a recording of The Wonder Years, a 30-minute show in 720p. While skipping commercials, I reached the 20-minute mark, and when I tried to timeshift back 3 minutes, the action didn’t register. The time indicator again reset to the beginning, with the display frozen on the last frame.
It's worth noting that timeshifting 1080i video works fine—this issue only occurs with 720p. Additionally, I don’t experience these timeshifting problems on my Windows 10 laptop.
Has anyone else encountered these issues? Any suggestions on how to resolve them?
