Does this product have beter FF functions than the standard Hauppage 2.2 software ?
The buttons 1-9 offer some 'jump to' functionality but they result in audio/video sync problems.
I miss a function where I can make an MPG start at for example 23 minutes.
I had this before on my KISS DVD player...

To be honest, the FF/RW is probably a little more flakey than the Hauppauge software. It usually works fine, but I get the occasional report for it not working well for some users.

It does the ability to jump easily to anywhere in the movie though. If you want to jump forward 23 minutes, you just type 2-3-skip.

I haven't used the Hauppauge software much at all. Mainly only to compare something to see if it's a GBPVR behavior, or an MVP one.

I have to say that from what I've seen GBPVR does a much better just of skipping around.

The few times I've seen it go out of sync, usually rewinding for a little bit fixes it right up.

The only time I see it not work well or at all, is with mpeg1 files. The MVP appears to be really fussy about mpeg1 files as far as timecode information. I've tried quite a few, and most didn't know the video duration thus couldn't seek at all.

This was true with either the Hauppauge software or GBPVR.

Just installed GBPVR and only this feature is already worth it !
