I just switched to digital cable. I got the STB hooked up to my PVR and got the irblaster that came with my PVR-150 setup.
I went to the TVGuide and picked a show and selected it to record as I did before I had the cable box. The irblaster correctly changed the channel to the desired channel, but the recording service did not start to record the show. I have pulled up the gbpvrrecordingservice.exe.log and it shows that the recording has started and is recording, but it's not.
I have tried to cancel the recording, but it just keeps trying to record it.
I have changed the channel on the STB, rebooted the computer, and when it reboots the recording service will see that it is still in the time period to record the show, change the channel to the desired channel, but won't record it?????
So, my (2) questions are:
Why is acting like it wants to record, but won't?
And, why can't I just simply cancel a recording? It seems like you have to wait until the time period for the show has expired until you can gain control of the system again.
Please provide some insight.
Thanks
