I have a Hauppauge 150-MCE and it didn't come with a remote.

Will this work?

Its really just designed for the remote that comes with the Hauppauge PVR devices. If you're considering a second tuner in the future, maybe a better buy would be the PVR150, giving you another tuner and your much needed remote.

Some other remotes will also work, but I dont have first hand experience with them, so I dont have any advice to offer.

Most of the popular remotes can be made to work with a little research and effort. The MCE remote will work but If you don't have WinMCE it would take some effort. A really basic outline on how to get a remote working.

Find a remote with a Girder Plugin.
Buy the remote.
Buy Girder.
Learn how to use Girder. (Not easy for some)
Get the remote working with Girder. (Not always easy)
Borrow someone's remote.ini and create girder events with the buttons
on your remote. Or read though the Wiki. I think all GBPVR remote
buttons are actualy keyboard shortcuts.

Or just get a Hauppauge PVR card that comes with a remote.

Seriously there might be hundredes of remotes out there that might work. My experience with GBPVR tells me that any remote that lets you map keyboard shortcuts might work. I bought an Imon remote and receiver for a second PC running GBPVR and it works great with the included software. Just make sure the remote has enough buttons for they GBPVR functions you want to have.

Good Luck.
