Trailer Plugin— can anybody makes it a reality?

I read this some moments ago. Can it be done, guys?


"I get trailers for some movies to show the family. mainly if it is something interesting that I might take them to see. What I do is;
1) Go to the regular apple site to view it.
2) View source of the web page and find and select the actual URL for the file. (simular to http://images.apple.com/movies/wb/t...and-int_480.mov)
3) I open quicktime player and <File> <Open URL in new player> and past that string into it. Then <File><Save as> and pick make movie self contained.
4) Then I use TMPGEnc to reencode to MPEG2 at a high bitrate (7000)so no reencoding artifacts show up.


It wouild be great to automate this, and tie it in to the theater listing plugin! Just brouse a theater, then look and say "What the heck is that movie, and hit play trailer!!!!!"

Can they be played with MVP?

they are .mov files.

Im doing as im my previous post. I'm dowloading trailers from apple using quicktime pro and then convert them into mpeg2. I meant to create a plugin able to automate all these as it is done with other plugins like weather plugin, and/or theaterListing.

if you set it up to run once a week, its automatic, and just setup a script to convert them after they have been dowloaded, no need to create a plugin to do this simple a task.

Simple for you, but not for me who is just learning bits and pieces at a time. If you meant Perl Script, Im out of luck with that.
