I installed the new version of GBPVR (GBPVR09208.msi) and version 4 of MyVideos from 5/27. When I press Ctrl-O on any of my videos, I get a popup with the following error:
Error: Exception from HRESULT:0x80040200
Everything else works fine.
I'm using the XMEDIA skin, but this also happens with the standard Blue skin.
I'm running Windows XP Media Center with the latest fixes.
I could not find any error in the logs.
What could be the problem? How can I fix this?
With an older version of myvideos (version 3 from 04/11) I don't have this problem.
Please help!

the video file you are trying to generate a thumbnail for isnt supported. there are a couple of file formats that just dont work. i only really had a problem with mpeg2 files, i left the error unhandled so i knew what files didnt work. ill handle the error and display a "Unable to generate thumbnail" error message to the user.

I'm running into a problem trying to get a thumbnail for every file, even ones that work fine on a different computer. I thought maybe MyDatabase.mdb was corrupt, so I replaced it, but no dice. Is there a program I need installed to generate the thumbnails?

Here's what I see in the log file

6/4/2005 4:05:39 PM.015 VERBOSE [2] Error trying to generate thumbnail
6/4/2005 4:05:39 PM.015 VERBOSE [2] The system cannot find the path specified.
6/4/2005 4:05:39 PM.015 VERBOSE [2] at DexterLib.MediaDetClass.WriteBitmapBits(Double streamTime, Int32 Width, Int32 Height, String Filename)
at MyVideosPlugin.GenerateThumb.GetThumbnail(String fileName)
6/4/2005 4:05:39 PM.015 VERBOSE [2] #(image was null)# Error creating thumbnail for [E:\Television Shows\Arrested Development Season 2\arrested.development.201.the.one.where.michael.leaves.hdtv-lol.avi]

I have only MPEG files. With the version 4 of MyVideos, I cannot do a lookup episode or movie anymore, because Ctrl-O will not work anymore. Is there a way to switch off the generation of thumbnails to get this functionality back?
