Hi everyone,

I got a problem with LiveTV not working anymore (when nothing is being recorded). But if something was scheduled for recording, it can timeshift-it so that I can view it...

Here is GB-PVR log exception:

You should probably give a bit more information about what capture hardware you using etc.

I'm using a Sapphire Theatrix (ATI Theater 550 Pro) with Windows XP Pro on an Asus A8V Deluxe AMD 3500+.

It was working perfectly fine before I uninstalled/reinstalled the ATI MMC (I have an ATI 8500LE).

I also have reinstalled the Theatrix driver, hoping it would solve this problem.

Right now, PowerCinema (the software coming with the Theatrix) is working, as is the scheduled recorder un GB-PVR, so the Tuner driver seems to be fine.

I also tried to reinstall GB-PVR over the existing installation. But it did not solve the problem either.

The only problem I have is when I try the LiveTV, which gave me and error after 5 second of a black screen saying something about an object's reference not having any object's instance defined...

I am hoping that with the call stack, you have all the required information to track down this problem... Sad

You could try disabling live preview mode, or setting the deinterlacing setting to none to see if it helps.

Thanks Sub, the problem seems to be related to the Deinterlacing 'Encoder Pass-Through'.

With the other option ('none' or 'ffdshow raw video filter'), it is working just fine again. Big Grin

What could have happened to break-up the 'Encoder Pass-Through'??
Any Idea?

Some video decoders dont like the 'encoder pass-through' option. Somewhere in the process you went through, I'm guessing something has changed about the video decoder being used.

Hmm, I have a similar problem.

I have a Sapphire Theatrix 550 Pro (the ATI 550 chip), PowerCinema is working (but it's crap), ChrisTV is working great (but has no EPG etc), and GB-PVR is almost working.

When I try "LiveTV", it only works when I use the "live preview" and no deinterlacing. But I don't want the live preview, I want the hardware encoded mpeg stream (which should be of a better quality). When I don't use Live Preview, it keeps timeshifting but i don't get any image or sound. It is recording to my HD though, and when I shut down GB-PVR I can watch the timeshift-file.

Any hints?

Also, when I use stereo sound I get a lot of noise (in all programs, ChrisTV, PowerCinema, GB-PVR), but I can't find the option to use mono.

For everything else: great app! Smile

Well, I fixed some of it. I crawled thrue the logfile (thank god for good debugging Smile) and found that the "default mpeg decoder" wasn't found. I hadn't touched those settings, but now I put "Cyberlink ..." everywhere and it seems to be working. Just the stereo-mono problem and I'll be on my way Smile

You could try setting ForceMono=1 in the direct.ini file.
