Spent the weekend tweaking the system and have got all my problems resolved or worked around.

This isn't so much a problem as interesting behavior. I'd been downloading 2 weeks worth of schedule every couple of days from zap2it and manually loading it in. Decided to switch over to the zap2it plugin over the weekend so I switched to the plugin, purged EPG and selected to manually update it. Went to the TV Guide and noticed it was blank. Scrolled through a few days and noticed that it had downloaded 3 days worth of programming, but this was offset by four days (ie THU 6/9 12:00 AM - SUN 6/12 12:00 AM) and postEPGUpdate.bat was never called. No big deal; I purged, switched back to the XML plugin, reloaded my xml data (through the 18th), switched the plugin back to Zap2It to see how the 3:00AM would go and went to sleep. Overnight, EPG load went fine, looks like program data was extended into the 19th. I guess my question is whether there is a configuration line for the zap2it plugin that is different for the manual load than the overnight load? It seems that the overnight is set for 14 days to me and the manual update to 7 (with something offsetting the start date). As a control, I did a purge and manual update on my laptop and it downloaded 7 days into the TV Guide starting today.

No big deal, just seemed a bit weird to me.

No, there is no difference between overnight and manual EPG update. They both call the same function.

If you decide to switch between EPG sources, you should probably drop and recreate the capture source. If you had any recording associated with that capture source, it only does a partial Empty EPG, and can lead to problems so isnt advised.

I'm sure if you recreated the capture source using the zap2it plugin, things would be more as you expect.

Thanks Sub. That makes perfect sense. Come to think of it, all my scheduled recordings before changing the plugin were within the 3 day window that did show up after changing the plugin.

Be warned though, dropping the capture source also deletes therecordings from the recordings screen that were made using that capture source. The video files are still on disk of course.
