When I try to "force EPG" I get the message that "Your EPG source does not appear to be configured correctly. Please check the EPG source settings and try again."
All seems to be set up correctly (i.e. zap2it is up and running, etc.), but it just won't work. Any suggestions?

the usual zap2it questionsSmile

1. Do you have an account at labs.zap2it.com?
2. Can you login at zap2it
3. Do you have a firewall running? (you may may open a port?)

If all this is working, reprocude the problem then zip up your *.log files and send them to sub (support@devnz.com)

Thanks so much, Colin. I disabled my Norton firewall and all came through. What I don't know is what specifically to accept in order not to have any future problems. Any ideas?

With your firewall software you should be able to add in a rule which allows a specified application to be able to work through the firewall.

I use Symantec and whenever an application tries to acces the internet which the firewall does not know about it pops up a window to ask me how to handle it.

I suspect if you have a look through the options there are other applications which are listed as being able to comunicate with the outside world.

I'm having the same problem as revdal. I installed a PVR-350 card 3 days ago, and I downloaded and installed Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 and GB-PVR yesterday. I have XP Home Edition.

In "Edit Recording Source" I've selected:
    Recording Source: Direct Recording Plugin (and set up the 350).
    EPG Source: Zap2it (USA), created the account and selected channels.

When I click on Update EPG I get the error message after a few seconds. Shutting down Personal Firewall Pro didn't make any difference. I don't know of anything else that might interfere.

Can you email your config.exe.log to support@devnz.com and I'll take a closer look.
