http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Plugin/XRecord

v.30 2005–06–21 (xrecord-setup.zip only)

support for mixed mode with titles with special characters :
default mixed mode for everything can be enabled in the skin for now eventually I will move it to the config.
/settings/Language/Mixedmode value=“true”

movies (under videos) cant be deleted and always mixed mode.
again I have not had time to add this to the config yet, in the config.xml at the same level as Video Path 1 etc…. You can now specify Movie Path 1 etc….

can now page up and down on scheduler list by pressing rewind and fast forward
can now page up and down on reoccuring list by pressing rewind and fast forward
The ability to jump to a show in the display by hitting the first letter of the show name?
done for ready, pending, reoccur, schedule, video can use numbers like phone as well.
New button on CDK scheduler called clear, when you hit clear it will delete all matching recordings
in the pending list. Delete just removes the watch.

You can now suspend a reoccuring program and resume it later, so when a season ends
you can suspend them till it resumes.

Fixed Bug - Double clicking the Conflicts button exists me out of xrecord to the Main Menu
Fixed Bug - Clicking / Double Clicking on the Exit button in the Free Space window does nothing.
Fixed Bug - When the manual window is open, if I accidentally click outside of it, I receive an error message: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
Fixed Bug - Installer bug deleting the users postprocessing.bat and postupdateepg.bat has been fixed.

Thanks to richard, lucas_24 and smeghead for suggestions and bug reports.

Going to install it now. Glad you've kept it compatible w/ older versions, too.

Don't know if this is something that has been added, but is is possible to have the back button step back and not exit you out when working w/in folders? Try as I might, I can never train myself to arrow back to get out of a folder and not use back (esc).

If it's not something that was added, and it was possible, it may be a nice option to add to the CP, rather than changing it for everyone.

This tripped me up a lot too. I'd frequently end up somewhere I didn't want to be! I'd press the left button once too many and be back at the menus on the left, then click right and be somewhere totally wrong.

Oooh! One last thing. I suggested this for the main screen, but I don't think it'll fly. How about a subtle hard drive usage bar? It would appear as if it was part of the skin, say at the bottom of the screen, and would represent the percentage of free space available?

This way you get a quick visual free space reference without having to go to a special screen.

capcone,
do you want a flag that would disable the left (switching to the buttons) and enable Esc/Home?

the bar sounds cool. I will add it to my list.

Your signature shows that you were getting object not found with guide2j. Can you send me the stack trace jared_dubin at hotmail.com

or pm it to me. I will take a look at it for jrock.

It also shows that you dropped xrecord? May I ask what you did not like about it (besides the left arrow) ?

Yes...just being able to use esc the way the left arrow works, so you can back out of a folder to the folders view w/o exiting to main would be cool. It would be more intuituve for those that have gotten used to using esc as a general "back" funciton button.

Hi Jorm, thanks for the update.
Can you just check this one out for me please: On reoccuring screen press the red button (ctrl-R). I'm returned to main menu with "Error: specified cast is not valid"
Thanks

Hello Jorm,

This is great, thank you for all your work.

A couple of questions / observations:

1. hitting the first letter of a show in the Scheduler does not always seems to work. It seems to only jump to the shows on the screen and does not go to a show that starts with a number (i.e. 24). If I hit the letter of a show I assume that it goes to the show as the highlight disappears, but the screen does not change.

2. Any possibility of having the page up and down with the keyboard and/or the mouse? I actually prefer using my wireless mouse for most of the functions rather than my remote. (wish list)

3. It has been a long day and I know this is a stupid question...but where is the clear button. I was looking for it in the Scheduler in xrecord and through the Guide2J plugin. Using the delete through Guide2J does not seem to delete the program...at least it is still highlighted.

4. Finally, can one only suspend shows in the reoccuring section? All of my shows are in the Scheduler section. Is it possible to suspend shows in the Scheduler section?

I knew question 3 above was a stupid question, it was right there in front of me all the time. Please ignore my stupid question above.
