Okay, first of all: Nice work on this module, it's really great!

But as usual I do have a few questions Smile

1. How do I resume from a paused position in a movie? I've noticed that when I pause and the go back out to the main GUI the movie I was watching appears under "Paused Movies". But when I go there and press play or the Play button it starts from the beginning... Isn't it supposed to resume from the saved position (which it obviously knows)? If this isn't implemented yet: is it a feature that is planned?

2. I've noticed that it's possible for the plugin to identify files such as "moviename cd1.avi" and "moviename cd2.avi" as long as I place them in the same folder. Is it possible to somehow get MyVideos to disregard a part of the filename (such as cdX) so I don't have to place them in separate folders?

3. Suggestion: Since it does in fact realize that the above mentioned files are just two parts of the same movie, wouldn't it be nice if MyVideos detected this and after reaching the end of "moviename cd1.avi" asked the user whether he/she would like to continue watching "moviename cd2.avi"?

Once again: Great Work!

Let me express my thanks as well, Reven, for another great job! Also, let me apologize for posting my first question in the announcements section, my bad.

I do have a couple of more questions for you however. I went ahead and unzipped all of the files included with 4.1 into GBPVR, and all is well now. I mention this because your instructions in your announcement post specifically stated that I only need to unzip the skins folder (something I thought rather odd, but who am I to question?) Obviously, you need all of the files, even on an upgrade from 4.0. Big Grin

Now, on to my question. I went in to config and disabled the Main Menu item for My Videos, since I noticed that is was 90% off the bottom of the screen anyway. But when I went back in to GBPVR, things hadn't changed. There was still a menu item off the bottom of the screen. Am I missing something?

Thanks for all the help! Smile

huh? what do you mean? in the main menu (not my vids) is there an button you cannot fully see? (if so this isnt a my vids problem, edit he mainmenu skin.xml and change the number of buttons visible(just look around the skin file it should be easy enough to find)).

you must have this enable in the gbpvr config app first, its under "misc" and called something like "prompt for resume on playback" (gbpvr handles the paused movies, my vids is just an interface for this)

im not exactly sure what you mean here. why would you have to put them in seperate folders?

change the stacking mode to "simple" and when you get to the end of "xxx cd1.avi" it will automatically start playing "xxx cd2.avi" to "xxx cdn.avi".

Aha Smile So that's what that option was for, thanks!

Well the problem is this: When I have two files called something like "black hawk down cd1.mpg" and "black hawk down cd2.mpg" for some reason MyVideos will not find the imdb info for them (probably due to the "cdX" part of the filename)... However, if I put them both in a new folder called "black hawk down" it will recognize both files as the movie black hawk down... So my question is: is ther any wy to make MyVideos ignore part of the filename when searching for movie information?

Sounds excellent, just what I want but: It doesn't for (at least for me)... I've tried both Simple and Series and it still just stops at the end of xxx cd1.avi.... What could be wrong?

just delete the "cd1" from the input when you do the lookup for black hawk down (it should show a onscreen keyboard for you to input the movie name).

not sure, probably a bug i missed, ill look into it. (i dont have any videos that are split into multiple cds, only multipart tv epsidoes(which are all like "episode (1)","episode (2)".).

Hmm.... I've never seen it display an onscreen keyboard... When it fails to find any info at all it simply doesn't display anything... It first shows the "Retrieving Movie Information" dialogue and then it dissappears... No info, no keyboard...

Strange.... I've tried renaming this files into "xxxx cdX.avi", "xxxx episode (X)", "xxxx (X).avi" but either way it just stops at the end of the first file, doesn't ask me or continue to play the next file. I've tried all stacking modes...

popupmenu/info/imdb should display an onscreen keyboard. the only way i can think of, where it doesnt display an onscreen keyboard would be when you push "ok" on a file without any information (and "info on ok" is enabled) it just then uses the best effort lookup method.

I've got a different question about MyVideos. I followed the "Setup for Dummies" verbatim and I still can't burn DVDs. When I click the 'Copy' button nothing happens. If I try to burn a recorded show it brings up "Converting: 0 of 1 files", but it doesn't appear to start any of the programs I installed setting it up. I checked the process list and DVD author, decrypter, PVA or mkisofs are not running. I let it sit on this window for 10 minutes and it wasn't doing anything so cancelled it.
Great plugin by the way. Thanks for all the hard work you've put into it.

check the task manager see if any of the programs you are using (eg pva etc) are running in the background, demuxing can take quite a while.

I checked the task manager and nothing appears to be running. I would assume that demuxing would take a considerable amount of CPU time and the computer was running normally the whole time. Also, wouldn't it say "Converting 1 of 1" instead of "0 of 1" if it was working?
What is the first program called when you click "Copy DVD"?
Thanks
