Anyone know if you can extend a recording while it is in progress? The film I'm recording started half an hour late so I want to extend the recording by 30 minutes.

I also have the xRecord plugin installed if that's any help.

Any help within the next 50 minutes would be appreciated greatly.

No, there is current no way to do this.

Just schedule a recording for the following program as well. If you need to you can join them together later.

Thanks for the quick reply sub, I thought this might be my only option.

Is it a feature you may add in the future? With my VCR I can just press the record button during a recording to add time in steps of 10 minutes to the end of the recording.

Just an idea.

Thanks again.

Probably at some stage. Its not at the top of my priority list. So many things to do, so little time...

This was discussed in a previous wishlist thread. (I know, I asked about it)

What I currently do is simply change the clock on the computer. Just remember, if you have your computer set up to automatically keep its time updated to disable the service.

So, to give yourself an extra half hour, or hour, just knock the clock back and you'll wind up with at least a single recording of your program.

Cheers,

Just remember to set it back :-D And remember that it will screw up other recordings if you have multiple capture cards and were about to do another recording on another card ;-)
I'm not always right
