I receive the following error while attempting to "update epg" in config.exe:

XP sp2 (I have tried disabling the Windows Firewall)
Hauppauge PVR 250
.Net 1.1 runtime reinstalled
EPG Source: Zap2It (I've tried 2 accounts and PW's)

It worked fine with w2k server. However, once I installed xp sp2, I was unable to pull in epg info

Thanks!!

From the look of the error message, it looks like zap2it is sending you an invalid or incorrectly formatted response. Does it happen everytime? They may just have had a momentary problem. Try again to check.

I've not heard any other reports of this. I've also just tried it again myself and seems to be working fine here for me.

Its a bit of an odd error to get. It really does sound like they're sending you an incorrectly formatted response, but I cant understand why it would just affect you. You could email your zap2it username/password to me and I'll see if it does it for me also.

It also possible something is broken with the .net XML components on your machine, but I'm not sure what you'd have to do to fix that. If that is the case, reinstalling the .net framework may help.

I'll email you the zap2it username and password to support@devnz.com.

I uninstalled .Net FW 1.1, restarted system, performed a reinstall using dotnetfx.exe, installed .Net 1.1 sp1 and looks like a MS hotfix. Still getting the same error. wierd.

Geez..... sorry about that. Thanks for all your help.

since both the old account and newly created zap2it account did not work initially, the uninstall and reinstall of .net framework must have don the trick. thanks again!!!

I suspect Zap2IT may have a problem yesterday (Monday). I had the same problem. Tried again a few hours later & got the listings with no problem.
