Use a webcam point it out the window and view it on your tv. Great for security systems. I can add support for ip cameras once I figure out how they work. So if someone has one and wants to be my guinepig send me a pm.

The number on the bottom right is the number of frames received. The 2 frames a second is not a limitation of the code but is how fast gbpvr refreshes. I would love to speed this up but dont think we can.

Feedback...

As always source is available by request. If enough people thing it is useful I will post it on wiki.

The picture is of my depressing gray cube at work.

Looks interesting! I don't howvere have a USB camera. What I do have is a wireless camera which I use to monitor a garage door. The receiver has a normal RCA video out which I could plug into the Video-In of my PVR350. Can I do something similar as you have done with the USB camera?

you probably already thought of this, but why not just use a ticker that ticks say 15 times a second (i think thats the default webcamrefresh rate) and just force gbpvr to repaint with the new image, the new ticker panel does this (well i guess you should make the ticker interval configurable, since mvp wouldnt be able to handle it).

I got my D-Link Internet IP camera working with Softly's webcam plugin.

Here's the link to the posts on this and how I got it to work.

tipstir it should be at least the 2 frames per second. I havent tested it yet

reven. I have tried the force repaint was not able to make it any faster than speed 2 frames a second. Need to play with it more.

Very soon I will do another release on wiki.

It will support ip cameras thanks to garetmax post. (I will need you to test it for me)

It updates at 500 ms so do not use it for the web. The idea is for security cameras.

If you have multiple ip cameras around your house you can hit the blue button and it will run through the ip cameras one at a time.

If it is useful I can create a 4 shot tile mode where you can see up to 4 cameras at a time.

Hey Jorm,

I installed the files, but the plugin isn't showing up in the GB-PVR config in order to enable it.
I've triple checked the files and where I put them and I think I've got them in the right spots.
