Using Twinhan Alpha, and Intervideo Video/Audio Decoders. Using Cyberlink MPG Muxer (3.5.0107).

I have been unable to record or pause live tv on GBPVR. If I press pause, the 'please wait' screen comes up, then I get sent back to the menu and it says 'Error playing back video file'.

In the logs I get this:

First of all, try a newer mux. That is really old. Most people are using Cyberlink v5.0.0.727

It looks like your device failed to lock onto a channel.

I have tried the latest and slightly older cyberlink muxers, but they all give me out of sync and jittery video/audio (they do at least work though).
This one that I am using is the only one which works and gives uninterrupted live tv video/audio....

Also, the thing that continuously comes up in my logs is this section:

20/07/2005 01:56:09.375 ERROR [2] Error: msg=0x100 (WM_KEYDOWN) hwnd=0x307b4 wparam=0x4b lparam=0x250001 result=0x0 : Failure playing back file : at NativeUtilities.MediaHelper.playVideoFile(String filename, Form form)

at System.Windows.Forms.Control.WmKeyChar(Message& m)
at System.Windows.Forms.Control.WndProc(Message& m)
at System.Windows.Forms.ScrollableControl.WndProc(Mes sage& m)
at System.Windows.Forms.ContainerControl.WndProc(Mess age& m)
at System.Windows.Forms.Form.WndProc(Message& m)
at q.a(Message& A_0)

Thats the only error message in all of my logs.

Also, I am unsure as to how it did not lock onto a channel, seeing as I can see all of my channels clearly, and there is no other process using the TVTuner.

I was beginning to suspect NativeUtilities.dll, since I (foolishly) replaced it with one that you posted (in case i got better/faster response). Then my problems started even when I replaced it back to the original NativeUtilities.dll

I'll post up some more info tomorrow, after experimenting a bit, right now I'm tired......

OK, I managed to get the Scheduled recording working perfectly, but I'm still having a problem with the Timeshifting.

To fix the recording, I changed my settings to this:

Found: ShowShifter MPEG PS Writer
FILE: C:\Program Files\Home Media Networks Limited\ShowShifter\MpegWriter.ax
VERSION: 3.12.0.2945

Video - Cyberlink DTV Video Decoder
Audio - MPEG Audio Decoder
Audio Renderer - Realtek AC97 Audio
BDA Multiplexer - SS

When I am in LivePreview mode, and I press pause, it goes straight back to the menu (after the black screen with writing).

Having check the logs, 3 of them are updated, 2 having no useful information. The 3rd one, gbpvrrecordingservice.exe-native.log, says this:

gbpvrrecordingservice.exe-native.log

01:36:10.968 INFO BDARecorder:::StartRecording(Twinhan Alpha USB DVB-T, 1, D:\TV\Temp\MovieThe Prisoner of Second Avenue _1_20050722_00250200.mpg, T:C25,505834,0,0,8~P:4228~V:610~A:611~N:>BBC TWO)

I edited it to show only relevant info. Ignore the "locked=0" since I get that even when recording does work. I have V.Good reception on all channels, and have extensively tested out all possible combinations of Muxers/Demuxers etc .

The bit I noticed was this:
01:36:11.015 ERROR failed to start BDA Graph
01:36:11.015 VERBOSE E_FAIL

Any help? I have tried to be as informative as I can....
