I have tried posting in plugin support but this falls on the line of program support and plugin, so i will try here also.

I have GBpvr running without using any plugins. It does what it is suppose to do. When i install Xrecord/CDK scheduler all seems to work but the record service never starts. The episodes are in the GBpvr database. The service only starts when a restart or edit to the gbpvr database is done(ie. show added using standard scheduler or show deleted from pending. At that point it works fine.

Im using the new release of GBpvr(09211) and have heard that there could be a database refresh problem(a hook needed to refresh). Is this true?

Is there anything i can do(a work around?) with this current version and force a refresh with the recording service?

If this seems to be a isolated problem can i have access to the previous version of GBpvr so i can test this.

I like having the flexibility with CDK, if i cant resolve this i will end up using the standard scheduler included with GBpvr, which works.

thankyou

No, thats not true.

GB-PVR currently works the way it always has, with the recording service refreshing its database every fifteen minutes or so. If you're using a plugin that schedules a recording that is due to start pretty much immediatly, then there is a good chance it'll be missed. This has always been the case.

The internal components (tv guide etc) have the benefit of being able to ask the recording service to reload its schedule at any time. This functionality will also be available to plugins from the next release, which is what I think you're referring to. Jorm requested this feature also be exposed to plugin developers.

I actually wanted it for suspending of season recordings. But it could be used for the cdk as well.

At 12:45pm added a show set to record for 2pm-CDK found 4 possibilities and added to the pending list. Now at 2:10pm the show never started to record. Gbpvr shows the "soon to be recording" still. I now go into the pending list in xrecord and delete one of the other three shows, the recording now begins on the 2pm show.

Why is this occuring? I allowed over an hour before the show was to begin.

Thanks again...

Sorry, i dont know - I'm not familiar with CDK. The author will need to the leg work to work out if there is a fault.

hmm, when i check the gbpvr.mdb all the episodes are in the recording data base. I think CDK is doing what it should by placing the data there. The recording service is not seeing that change in the database, so it never runs.

Does the recording service do an interval update or a update based on change to the gbpvr.mdb?

CDK should be using the provided IScheduleHelper for scheduling recordings. If its not, then its out of luck.
