v.34 2005–08–22

Now guide2j is bundled in the same installation
Guide2j was renamed to XGuide (might need to check the new box in the config)
FastFind was renamed to XSearch (might need to check the new box in the config)
Fastfind now supports the user hitting the & character
another attempt to handle the out of memory error
The new cdk scheduler that will reload the schedule after it runs. If you do not have the latest version
please backup your priorityrecording.exe and replace it after the installation.

You do not have to use all 3 plugins if you do not want to just disable the ones you do not want in the config.

I ran a quick test. Recorded fine, but I ran into the below deleting the test from Watched (wanted to get out of recorded history).

Btw, what would hitting "run CDK" do if run on a folder? Recorded or Pending? I've never gotten a good feel for what that particular function did, and I didn't want to mess w/ the recordings.

should be fixed in the next release. The Run CDK does the same no matter where it is. It runs the priorityrecordings.exe. If you have recordings in the scheduler section this is a hook to be able to update the schedule on demand.

Fix: That's fine then. I don't have much biz in that dir other than to clear out somethign I want to have reocrd again later (eg, didn't record right and want a repeat). That is, presuming I'm right that's how it works.

CDK: So if I run anywhere, it should clear out previously recorded from pending (which are cleaned up in postepg)? That would be a help, if the dupes are set for that day.

Overall: I haven't done more than record something and watch it. I tried using xexport again, but no love, and no big deal.

Fix - it is.

cdk- cdk does not remove dups. rectracker does. If you schedule a show no matter if it is listed in the watched list it will record unless you update the epg. The purge is in postupdateepg.bat

v.35 2005–08–23

XFind -Can now set the tuner count in the config.xml, this will override the setting in the skin.
have to manually create a node in the config.xml called /settings/PluginSettings/fastfind/TunerElement
<TunerElement count=“1″/>
XFind -Add a quick record similar to the standard guide. Just a bit faster then navigating through the schedule.
XFind -Autohide keyboard from the bottom of the screen. Use the real estate for show description and info as
well as channel info. This way users could just navigate the episodes and see the description without opening the pop up just to see which episode they are looking at.

XFind -You can create a file in gbpvr called history.txt when you are on the keyboard
hit the green button (ctrl-g) it will display the matches so far). For now you can put your common shows in the list.

XGuide - ability to watch a recording in progress from the guide, rather then have to go xrecord to watch it.
XGuide - quick record
XRecord -fixed System.ArgumentOutOfRangeException on watched list.
XRecord -When you delete conflicts and the popup is closed it will invoke the reload of the schedule.
Requirement - Also with conflicts, even after I resolve them, they still show up until the scheduler runs again. Now that there’s a way to force the scheduler to run “for the CDK”, either have a manual or automatic update to clear the conflicts as well.

This was also requested
XFind:
- I often use the * for wildcard. Would be great to be abler to press the * key on the remote instead of having
to navigate the keyboard

I do not have a * on my mvp remote. We need to find a common key.

holy crap, that was fast. Thanks a lot, this will make my viewing much better. Reading through the plugin tutorial now. I also have to find a version of Visual Studio.net 2003. I'll be asking for the source at some point this week so I can attempt a new guide view for xguide.

Once again thanks

I guess the old hauppauge remote does not have a * key then, I've been using the newer one for some time now.

I'm updating now. Kudos, too, on the fast turn.

I have a request, if it makes sense: allow xguide to be added to xrecord menu. I'm short on real estate on main menu, and ususally want to it while trying to add as a recording (when using find w/ remote confounds me sometimes).

You dont need visual Studio.net 2003. I mostly use sharp develop instead it is freeware.

We just have to think of a key to use. Perhaps pause or menu?

I guess pause would be OK, probably better than menu. Menu may be a little confusing since people may expect it return back to the menu. Whatever you think is best though, it all works for me.

Thanks
