When I view a dvd and fast forward or rewind I get no sound when I click the pause button to resume playback. I have to quit and then play again.

I've altered the Audio Renderer setting to be my sound card (SB Audigy Audio [E000]) and it still does it. However I've noticed that if I check the volume level in control panel that the wav slider is all the way to the bottom (mute). I can slide it back up and everything's fine. So I did a test and noticed that as soon as I click the fast forward button with my mouse the slider shoots to the bottom. I'm guessing that the muting part is by design but it should return to the normal volume when I click the pause button (twice) to play back normally, which isn't happening so its staying mute.

Has this bug all ready been reported?

Cheers.

I just tried to reproduce this here. Its seems to work correctly for me.

Which volume slider are you looking at? The Windows volume control slider doesnt seem to move when I do this.

Yeah the "advanced" windows volume control accessed from the control panel, its the one with all the sliders on, Wave, midi synth, cd audio, line-in etc. Its the Wave slider that moves down to minimum on ff/rw.

Two things to note. The slider only moves if I select my sound card as the audio renderer in the GBPVR config tool. The sound still mutes if I use system default, but the slider doesn't move.

The other thing is that i'm using the mouse to control (ff/rw/pause) gbpvr, not a remote. Don't know if this makes any difference.

Like I said it looks like the software is muting the sound on ff/rw, but not restoring after playback commences (by clicking the pause button twice with the mouse)

I'm seeing a similar problem.
I recently installed GB-PVR 09310, and it looks promising. I have per-tuner channel switching as well as FM radio working fine - and then I tried recording. I lost sound.
Looking in the Windows Volume Control, my WAV volume had been set to zero. Rebooting does not help. If I reset the WAV volume myself, it works fine, until I change to a channel on the other tuner. Then it gets set back to zero.
I vaguely remember this happening with the first GB-PVR version I used too - 02313.
Please let me know if I can be of help diagnosing this furthur.
Thanks.

I have a sort-of similar problem with playback of video files stored on the computer.

Playing them works fine, but if, after I fast forward, I hit Play again, I get no sound output. I have to fast-forward twice, then pause, then play before I'll get sound again.

This has to be a bug. Any FF/RW in a recording, timeshift mode or DVD, the WAV goes to zero, It took many trials until I figured out what was happening, I tried just about every setting combination, but nothing worked.

I have a basic setup with PVR-150, GB-PVR and minimum software on a brand new machine. I can certainly produce this problem any time. Is there any debug setting that can track sound changes? I would be happy to do whatever it takes to track this problem, there does not seem to be a workaround.
