I have found the following problem in scheduling recordings in 0227: I scheduled a reoccurring recording for all shows of a given series on a given channel (The Twilight Zone on SCIFIP). These shows are usually on at 1:00 A.M. PDT, but there was an error in the program listings on one day recently where this show was listed as running repeatedly, all day on that channel for one day. Yahoo TV listings also had this listing error, so this is not a problem with GB-PVR or Zap2It.

My problem is this: I had a regular reoccuring recording scheduled for another daytime show. However, since the erroneous listing for The Twilight Zone conflicted with the scheduled recording of my daytime show on that one day, I have not been able to get GB-PVR to record my daytime show at all. I've even deleted the scheduled reoccuring recordings for both shows and then added them again, but my daytime show will still never be recorded. I even tried to record a single instance of the show, that made no difference either. What do I need to do to allow my daytime show to be recorded again?

Update: The problem might be related to scheduling conflicts at a date in the future. It seems that if two reoccurring recording schedules have any conflicts at all into the future, that the entire second reoccurring recording will not be scheduled. In other words, on the days when there is no conflict, the second reoccurring recording will not occur.

I think I've figured out what is going on here. Sub, you can confirm, but I think the problem is that GB-PVR will weed out what it thinks are redundant reoccuring recordings in a given season (i.e. repeats), based on the program description. The daytime show that I want to record reoccuringly is a game show, and the description in the program listing is the same each day. GB-PVR has only recorded this show one time and not each weekday as I have requested it.

My suggestion: Can the "don't record repeat episodes" be configurable per-reoccuring recording? I.e., I may not want repeats of prime-time shows to be recorded, but I do want daytime shows to be recorded each weekday, regardless of whether the program description is unique or not.

There is no functionality which tries to ignore repeats, it must be something else.

Maybe it's related to the problem I've come across:

I have a repeating recording for everyday (the news). This Saturday, I had something else to record at that timeslot, so I said GBPVR to cancel the news. It did that. However, it apears it doesn't schedule new occurences of the news anymore. The ones that were there when I canceled the news on Saturday did record, however today's and tomorrow's news were not in the list of scheduled recordings... (my schedule is only one or two days ahead because I extract it from the teletext programs).

I remember something like this to have occured before.
