Is there a 2GB-limit to files created by GBPVR? I have begun using it today so I am a newbie here. Earlier tonight I started recording and left it running for about 3,5 hours. Then I stopped and checked the files. There were somehow 2 files one with the first hour (about 2GB) and one with the last 30 minutes (about 1GB). There were one hour missing as far as I can see. I am using a Hauppauge PVR150 for capturing.

No, there is no file limit on GB-PVR. If you were using a FAT32 filesystem, ther you'd probably be limited to 4GB.

In the past when there have been reports of recordings stopping mid way through, the user has also found the same problem when then try to record in other apps (e.g. WinTV2000). One common cause is PVR device's IRQ is being shared with another device in the machine.

First, what file system are you using on your recordings drive? Fat16, Fat32, NTFS? NTFS is what you need for files larger than 4gb.

Edit... Doh, sorry Sub beat me to it.

I am glad to hear that, although it makes it harder for me to pinpoint the problem. I do not think I had any thing else scheduled and I pretty much avoided to even touch the keyboard during recording (spent most of the time at another tv-set Big Grin )

I am using Windows XP and the disc is a single NTFS-partition. During the night I scheduled a recording for 2.5 hours that worked find and produced a file of about 14GB. When I had the problem I had started the recording using CTRL-K in live-tv mode. Would that make a difference?

When you press Ctrl-K it'll only record until the end of the show which is playing at that time. If you dont have any EPG, then it'll assume the show finishes at the end of the hour.
